Terms of Reference for the Practitioners Forum Sounding Board on the Centre of Excellence
The Sounding Board will comprise representatives from the Practitioners Forum and Business Community Safety Forum, who have expressed an interest in being a member
of this Sounding Board to consider the emerging “Centre of Excellence” (CoE) Project for the Fire and Rescue Service.
The proposed Terms of Reference are:
- To contribute to the overall scrutiny of the CoE Project by reviewing appropriate project documents as they become available from the various CoE Project activities
- To inform the CoE Steering Committee, through the Chairman of the Practitioners Forum of wider stakeholder issues relating to the CoE project
- To inform the CoE Project Board, through the DCLG, LGA and CFOA members of the Practitioners Forum of wider stakeholder issues relating to the CoE project
- To alert and advise the CoE Project Board on any key issues identified from the CoE work stream activities
- To ensure that a devolved administration perspective is considered on all appropriate CoE issues
- To review, contribute and advise on material for dissemination to key stakeholders
- To act as a convenient stakeholder Sounding Board on any matters that the CoE Project may wish to raise
- There will be at least 3 meetings per year and additional meetings will be scheduled to dovetail in with major milestones and key stages of the project.
- ‘Out of Committee’ e-mail correspondence will also be utilised, when appropriate.
- Members will treat all material not clearly in the public domain as “in confidence”
